ALEXY KIM, also known as Sidewalkkilla, is an NYC- based independent queer visual artist, journalist, and photographer, originally from Kazakhstan. After moving to the U.S. in his early teens, Alexey began his photography career in 2018 as a contributor for Gayletter magazine. A year later, he co-founded Sidewalkkilla, a media platform dedicated to LGBTQIA+ issues and emerging creatives.

Initially focused on nightlife photography and collaborative storytelling, Sidewalkkilla quickly gained recognition for its vibrant and candid documentation of queer culture. In 2023, Alexey took full creative control, transforming the platform into a dynamic photo service specializing in documentary, creative, and client-based projects.

Inspired by uniqueness and individuality, his work seeks to capture fleeting moments, offering a distinct and authentic perspective on beauty and life.
